Palworld Guides - 1.0 Progression Route to World Tree

Palworld Guides - 1.0 Progression Route to World Tree helps players use a 1.0 route for new and returning players: rebuild early goals, unlock exploration tools, prepare towers, update bases, and move toward Sunreach and the World Tree without relying on outdated Early Access assumptions.

What Changed in Palworld 1.0

Palworld 1.0 is not just a content patch. The game exits Early Access with Sunreach, the World Tree, 72 new Pals, rebalanced Pal habitats, changed capture and crafting progression, Awakening, Mutation, and a clearer route from exploration into tower bosses and World Tree goals. Treat older Early Access routes as starting points, not as final answers.

Recommended Progression Route

  1. Stabilize your first base. Build food, beds, storage, logging, mining, and basic crafting before chasing distant objectives. A weak base slows every later system.
  2. Capture workers by role. Prioritize planting, watering, kindling, handiwork, mining, lumbering, transporting, and gathering. Open the Pal explorer when you need work-suitability filters.
  3. Unlock map control. Watchtowers reveal surrounding map areas and serve as fast travel points, so new routes should include watchtower checks instead of only old statue loops.
  4. Progress through towers deliberately. Main missions and tower progress now connect more naturally to the World Tree path, and some mission progress resets or auto-completes depending on prior tower defeats.
  5. Scale crafting in tiers. Crafting materials, weapons, armor, ammo, schematics, saddles, and technology unlocks were rebalanced, so rebuild your upgrade plan around the current Database rather than old costs.
  6. Move into Sunreach and World Tree prep. Sunreach adds new Pals, tower bosses, and specialized ores; the World Tree is tied to the core story and Awakening resources.

Early Game Priorities

  • Use food security as your first checkpoint: Berry production, cooking, storage, and transport prevent base downtime.
  • Capture multiple workers with the same job so base production continues when one Pal eats, sleeps, or gets stuck.
  • Keep one combat team and one work team instead of forcing the same Pals to solve every problem.
  • Unlock nearby fast travel and Watchtowers before long resource trips.

Midgame Checks Before Endgame Pushes

Before you focus on World Tree or high-difficulty content, review your equipment, Pal levels, mounts, ammo supply, repair materials, and base output. Version 1.0 also changes accessory acquisition, shop rewards, expedition rewards, boss placement, and high-difficulty content balance, so midgame planning should include a fresh item and map check.

  • Use Database pages for current item categories, structures, materials, and gear links.
  • Use Breeding when you need a target Pal route, passive chain, Cake loop, or Mutation batch.
  • Use Map for current exploration layers, Pal locations, dungeons, towers, and resources.

Route Check Before You Push Forward

Before leaving your main base for a long route, confirm your food line, repair materials, ammo, armor, mount plan, spare Spheres, and fast travel unlocks. Revisit this checklist whenever a major update changes progression, map routing, or combat balance.

  • Check Updates when a patch changes progression or map routes.
  • Check Database when a material, gear, or structure requirement blocks your next step.
  • Check Pals when you need a better worker, combat answer, or travel mount.
